Right out of the gate, the George Zimmerman Trial became the spectacle it promised to be, with a prosecutor dropping f-bombs and a defense attorney telling knock-knock jokes.

Zimmerman, 29, a former neighborhood watch volunteer, is charged with second-degree murder for the shooting death of 17-year old Trayvon Martin.

After the theatrics subsided, prosecutors maintained that Zimmerman was a vigilante who profiled Martin and took the law into his own hands, while the defense said it was Martin who “viciously” attacked Zimmerman and Zimmerman acted in self-defense.
