COAST CUTLERY NEW LINE-UP
Coast Products is introducing 22 new knives at the start of 2012 and four of those are new blade-assist knives built around Ron Lake’s new blade-assist patent US 7,827,697 that they have the exclusive license to. His patent features a roller-cam built into the blade that the assist-spring rides on making the blade opening very smooth and quick without the requirement of tremendous spring force against the blade. These knives also feature a safety located on the side of the handle that locks the blade open and closed. Most of their large liner locks also will have the Lake/Walker double-lock that locks the liner in the open position, making them a real value. (877-704-4545; coastportland.com).
