Jeff Randall TOPS Knives Laser Strike Knife

tactical-knives1LASER REBORN: Around a decade ago, Jeff Randall and TOPS Knives collaborated in offering what ultimately turned out to be a very limited number of survival knives called the “Laser Strike.” The name came, in part, from the fact the knife was designed to be able to start the most important thing you can have in a survival situation, fire, in several different ways. That included a ‘flint and steel” striker on the spine of the knife that, in the end, proved too difficult to produce. Since that time, many have suggested the knife would make an outstanding field tool even without the flint striker. ESEE is bringing the 5-inch blade knife back in their own line with a couple of changes. The striker is missing, but the handle contains a slot for a ferrocerium firestarter rod. The scales still have the dimple so it can be used as bearing block with a fire bow. (; 256-613-0372)

tactical-knives-b AMERICAN BOWIES: CAS Hanwei’s two new Grizzly and Bison Rock Creek Bowies have a real “American” look to them that most modern replicas lack. Both feature sambar stag handles, stainless guards and forged blades. The sheaths are heavy bark-tanned leather with steel reinforced tips. Either should be ideal for accurately completing your single action shooter outfit! (; 800-635-9366)

tactical-knives-c SPARTAN SKELETONS: The best defense in a military combat situation is often to have multiple backup plans. At the request of certain military units, Spartan Blades created a pair of all-steel, inside-the-waistband and/or neck-carry hideout knives designated the Enyo (warlike in Greek) and the Phobos (the Greek god of fear). The Enyo is a fairly conventional S30V drop-point 2-11/16 inches long and the Phobos is a 2-11/16-inch long Wharnecliffe. Both are available in a choice of DLC black coated or ZrN flat earth color.
